What it is
The story, told in the open air
The Way of the Cross is a theatrical retelling of the trial, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The story is historically careful. The aim is to show the depth of love given to humankind, and to offer hope.
Christian churches across Bendigo make the production together: drama, music, and lighting, on Good Friday evening. The 2026 performance has been held. This site is here for the story, for people who want to take part next time, and for gifts that keep the production possible.

In 2025 the crowd in Rosalind Park was estimated at over 2,500 people. Sets, costumes, light, and sound are paid for by gifts, not by tickets.
